The number of worker fatalities for 2007/08, based on the first nine months, is projected to be in the range 215 and 225, and is expected to be of a similar order to 2004/05 and 2005/06.
The range compares with 241 in 2006/07, 217 in 2005/06 and 223 in 2004/05. All of these annual figures are within natural year-on-year variation.
