Course Aim:
To offer new climbers an introduction to basic climbing and rescue techniques with practical experience of open structure climbing on masts. Including how to rescue a fellow climber, suspended by a fall arrest lanyard, from a tower, mast or pylon.
Further Information:
Basic Tower Climber & Rescue Training is specifically targeted at those who are working on Masts & Towers in telecoms and utilities industries. The course will train the delegate in the skills and techniques necessary to safely climb in exposed locations and rescue a casualty to ground from a variety of different scenarios.

• No Shock Rescue kits (optional)
• Use of knots and ropes
The course will involve elements of classroom and practical tuition. Emphasis will, at all times, be on practical rescues under the safe supervision of an instructor.
Delegates will be continually assessed throughout the course.
Delegates must weigh under 136 kgs, bring their own safety footwear and gloves and be physically fit to participate.
Course is designed to allow access to Arqiva sites under MATS accreditation
